Terms of Business

1. About Us

Jo's Cosy Cat Care is a sole-trader cat sitting service operated by Jodie, based in Ipswich, Suffolk. By making a booking with us, you agree to these terms.

2. Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once:

• Your request has been reviewed and accepted by Jo
• A 25% deposit has been received

We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion, in which case any deposit paid will be fully refunded.

3. Pricing & Payment

• A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking
• The remaining balance is charged automatically to your saved card 72 hours before the booking start date
• A surcharge of £3 per visit applies for households with 3 or more cats
• Peak period surcharges apply: +20% during school holidays, +50% during Christmas & New Year
• A travel contribution of 50p per mile applies based on road distance from Jo's home address
• All prices are as quoted at the time of booking and displayed in GBP

4. Cancellations

The following cancellation charges apply based on notice given before the booking start date:

• More than 14 days' notice: deposit is forfeited, no further charge
• 3–13 days' notice: deposit forfeited plus 50% of the remaining balance charged
• Less than 72 hours' notice: full booking amount is due, no refund issued

Bookings are non-transferrable. Any change of dates requires a new booking with a new deposit payment.

5. Access to Your Home

By booking with us, you authorise Jo to enter your property for the purpose of caring for your cats during the agreed dates. You must ensure that a key is available and that any alarm or entry instructions are provided in advance. Jo will treat your home with the utmost respect and care.

6. Health & Veterinary Care

You must disclose any known health conditions, dietary requirements or behavioural traits of your cats at the time of booking. In an emergency, Jo will attempt to contact you and your nominated vet. If neither can be reached, Jo reserves the right to authorise emergency veterinary treatment. Any costs incurred will be the client's responsibility.

7. Liability

Jo's Cosy Cat Care is fully insured for pet sitting services. However, we cannot accept liability for loss, injury or illness of a pet that arises from pre-existing conditions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We are not liable for any damage to property that occurs during a booking, except where caused by our negligence.

8. Medication

We are happy to administer certain medications subject to completion of our Medication Administration Form. We cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions to prescribed medications administered in accordance with the instructions provided by the client.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page represents the current terms. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the current terms.
