How to Prepare Your Cat for a Pet Sitter
Leaving your cat with a sitter doesn't have to be stressful — for you or your cat! Here are my top tips:
1. Book a Meet & Greet
Always arrange a meet and greet before your first booking. This lets your cat get used to the new person's scent and presence.
2. Keep Their Routine
Cats are creatures of habit. Write down feeding times, favourite spots, and any quirks. The more information your sitter has, the better!
3. Leave Familiar Scents
Leave a worn t-shirt near their bed. Your scent will comfort them while you're away.
4. Stock Up on Supplies
Make sure there's plenty of food, litter, and any medications clearly labelled.
5. Emergency Information
Leave your vet's details and an emergency contact with your sitter.
Remember, most cats adapt brilliantly to having a sitter — especially when they get to stay in their own home!
